Ralph Amelio Mr. Amelio is an attorney admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut.  Mr. Amelio holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Lehigh University and a Juris Doctor, with a concentration in tax law, from Pace University School of Law. In 2002, Mr. Amelio joined The Breakwater Group, LLC, based in White Plains, New York, a multi-faceted business advisory firm which provides a full range of financial and management consulting services for business and high-net worth individual clients. In 1996, Mr. Amelio became Senior Tax Manager for Hyperion Solutions Corporation, a computer software company specializing in budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis software, based in Sunnyvale, California.  In his position at Hyperion, Mr. Amelio prepared and reviewed federal and multi-state income tax returns for Hyperion’s Consolidated Group.  His responsibilities included resolution of federal and state audits and preparation of year-end tax provisions for the company’s audited financial statements. In 1992, Mr. Amelio joined Deloitte & Touche, LLP, one of the world’s five largest international accounting and consulting firms based in Stamford, Connecticut.  As Tax Manager, Mr. Amelio was responsible for the review and preparation of federal and multi-state income tax returns for diverse corporate and individual clients in industries such as banking, manufacturing, and cable television.
